Immigration judges sought

The JAC is seeking 10 Deputy Judges of the Upper Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber from today.

Deputy Judges have all the powers of a salaried judge of the Upper Tribunal, and are appointed primarily to assist in the disposal of excess cases.

There are 10 vacancies based in central London, although all appointees may also be asked to sit in other locations.

The Lord Chancellor expects successful applicants for these roles to already have directly relevant experience sitting as an immigration judge in a salaried or fee-paid capacity.
