The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) works with partner organisations to provide a number of seminars across England and Wales throughout the year.

On the right hand side of this page you will find a presentation for use by teachers and lecturers in schools and colleges. The slides provide a simple guide to the JAC, who we are, our responsibilities and the range of judicial roles we select for. Please feel free to download and use as a classroom or lecture aid.

Alongside this you will also find a PDF to download of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) prepared by the JAC in response to questions and misconceptions often rasied by prospective candidates. We hope you find this of use.

The workshops will equip attendees with the skills to help enhance your application and interview performance. This training course has been developed for solicitor applicants.

This intensive one day training will focus on tailoring your submission to make a positive impact in the competency based application and selection process. You will receive practical advice on completing the application form, incorporating your experiences and invaluable interview practice with feedback.

The course has been designed for solicitors with a minimum of 5 years' PQE who are considering applying for a judicial appointment. If you have sufficient experience to demonstrate that you can meet the JAC's requirements then this training event will be invaluable to your career progression.
