Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Tax Chamber

Within the First-tier Tribunal, judges will decide appeals against decisions of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), relating to direct and indirect tax and in areas such as National Insurance contributions appeals and Money Laundering Regulations. You may also be required to hear appeals against decisions of the Serious Organised Crime Agency and cases relating to MP expense claims. You will preside over hearings either alone or as part of a panel, which you will normally chair. You will also assist in the training of fee-paid tribunal judges and members. Vacancies are based in Birmingham, London and Manchester.

For these vacancies, we are seeking lawyers who are experts in tax and financial services. We welcome applications from barristers, solicitors and ILEX Fellows or from those with other relevant legal expertise. Applicants should have five years post qualification experience (PQE).
