If you have been a solicitor or barrister for at least seven years, you could be eligible to become a Recorder.
The Judicial Appointments Commission is seeking 128 new Recorders for the South Eastern Circuit, 118 in the Crime jurisdiction and 10 in the Public Family Law jurisdiction. These are fee paid posts and you will be expected to sit for 15 to 30 days a year.
