00414: Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) (2009)

We are seeking 14 new salaried First-tier Judges to hear Social Security and Child Support appeals in the recently created Social Entitlement Chamber.

The Tribunals Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 has ushered in an exciting era for the Tribunals Service, and we are seeking 14 new salaried First-tier Judges to hear Social Security and Child Support appeals in the recently created Social Entitlement Chamber.

You will be hearing appeals concerning important issues arising from decisions on a wide range of Social Security Benefits, including Housing Benefit, Income Support, Disability Living Allowance, Child Maintenance, Tax Credits and Industrial Injuries Benefits. You will also be required to perform a range of other judicial functions including appraisals, training and case management.

Salaried part-time working arrangements are available.
